Check When Your Annual Pass Expires

It is nearly one year since Strandfaraskip Landsins introduced the new fare structure on the island routes on 8 April 2025. With the new system, travellers also gained the option to buy an annual pass.

Annual passes are valid for one year from the date of purchase. If you bought your pass when the system launched last April, now is a good time to check when it expires.

Discount Resets

When an annual pass expires, the discount system starts over.
Any accumulated discount does not carry over to the next pass—you begin again when you purchase a new annual pass.

About the Annual Pass

• Provides a gradually increasing discount on tickets for a specific route.
• The more you travel on the route, the greater the discount becomes.
• Available for both individuals and private cars.

Travellers can check their annual pass expiry date by logging in to their user account in SSL’s booking system.
