To make it easier for visitors to discover the Faroe Islands, Strandfaraskip Landsins (SSL) has launched a new Tourist Travel Map. Designed specifically for tourists, the map provides inspiration and practical information on how to explore the islands using public transport.

More than just a route map, the brochure also includes a selection of suggested day trips to destinations across the Faroe Islands. All journeys begin at Tórshavn Bus Terminal, SSL’s main transport hub, and showcase some of the country’s most popular attractions and scenic locations.

Travelling by bus and ferry is a convenient, affordable, and sustainable way to experience the Faroe Islands. By choosing public transport, visitors can enjoy the journey while helping to reduce traffic and parking pressure at smaller communities and popular tourist sites.

The Tourist Travel Map is available free of charge at Tórshavn Bus Terminal and at SSL’s head office in Tvøroyri.

Please Note

A printing error has been identified in the first edition of the Tourist Travel Map. The suggested trip to Gjógv is only possible on weekdays and not on Saturdays, as stated in the brochure.
