On Wednesday the 19th of August a new booking system for our helicopter services started. With this new system the customer will purchase and handle any business with the helicopter services online. The system will show the timetable for helicopter, how many seats are available, and customers can book, pay, change and cancel 24 hours a day.
Another advantage with this new system is that a text message can be sent to all who have booked a flight if there are cancellations or changes with the booked flight.
Hilmar Eliasen, managing director of Strandfaraskip landsins, is very pleased with this new system and commented shortly, that Strandfaraskip landsins are looking into if booking systems can be put into use for other services at Strandfaraskip landsins.
Atlantic Airways have developed the new booking system and Atlantic Airways administrate helicopter services for Strandfaraskip landsins.
