There is progress in the repair work on one of the main engines on board Smyril but for the next few days, we ask all our passengers on this route to please bear with us.
The latest updates from the engine room is that the spare part that has been faulty has been sent overseas for repairs. The spare part will be shipped to Denmark where it will go to the Wårtsila shipyard in Hirtshals. The spare part will be shipped by air tomorrow morning.
Whilst this work is ongoing, Smyril will sail with three engines and therefore some minor delays might occur.
We will send information out again when the fault has been fixed and the ship again sails with full engine power.
