Teistin will be docked between May 23rd until June 13th. During this period Ternan will sail on the route to Sandoy and Issehoved will sail to Hest and Nólsoy. Ternan will sail cargo journeys to Hest on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sam will sail cargo journeys to Nólsoy on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Issehoved will sail the morning journeys to Kalsoy on these days according to the timetable. Issehoved is a passenger ferry only and therefore she will not be able to transport cars.
Please note that the booking system to Sandoy is inactive whilst Ternan is servicing this route.
When Teistin returns in approximately 3 weeks’ time the ships will resume their normal sailing routes.
Many of our ferries will be docked in 2018. Some ferries will be docked for 3 weeks at a time because special and imposed maintenance work is scheduled.
The service level might decrease slightly whilst the ferries are docked. There has been an increase in the passengers numbers of 125.000 from 2014 to 2017. And all the routes in 2018 have had an increase in passengers this year compared to last year. This is a challenge that we need to contemplate in the public service sector.
